I baked a Baquete and made Coffee. After a while Manish fed Soham his dinner while I cooked Aalu Gobhi with Roti. Making rotis in Germany is fun. I bought the kneading machine and keep trying different kinds of flours available in the market. They've flours of so many types for different types of breads. I sometimes follow the pack instructions to make breads, baquetes or Pizzas.... but mostly I make rotis, turns out yummy and very unusual. I wish I cud take some to India. :)
We finished Dinner at 9:30 and after randomly watching news channels, we thought to wind up for the day. Sohum was half sleeping so Manish took him upstairs in the bedroom and I was packing up the lappie... (Before logging out was checking FB updates). Lolzz FB is addicitive :)
And just then we heard the fireworks noice... I ran to the window, it was coming from nearby Valentine's park, occasion was ongoing Music & Spring festival.
I quickly switch off the lights and joined Manish & Soham at bedroom window to witness the fireworks... and I noticed something flying above my head... entering the bedroom.... A Bat... I screamed... and we both (Soham is too young to get perturbed at these) got scared.. For next 10 minutes I was almost screaming and Manish was trying to figure out how to drive him away.. It was flying inside... Very Scary, was big in size also.
Then I moved to living hall again and Manish covering his hands and face, got one big towel to drive it away, but was unsuccessful. Half an hour seems like hours .. and we cud not thought of any way to drive that flying fear away !!
Robert, one of our neighbour has always been helpful and is the only one who knows english. Manish called him, he had a look and claimed that its a Vampire bat and can be very dangerous. Unlike Manish, he didn't even tried to risk driving him away, very coolly he asked Manish to Google the local fire station. I was really confused hearing him, 'coz in India, we have to drive such things away by our own.. No fire station people will come to your rescue !!
Manish found the site and from the contacts he got the no also. Robert called them and talked in deutsch. within 10 minutes they were home, 3 person with a net and a big cage, it was really amusing for me. Sohum by then had slept in my arms only.
And the creature chose the ceiling wall above Soham's bed to hung himself... tired he must had been.
The 3-person team took 5 minutes to catch it and flew it away from the window.
On Robert's advice Manish tipped the team few Euros.... at the moment anything was too less.
We finally relieved slept at midnight smiling at the climax the day just had. :))

wow!! u even got time to click a pic of theirs!! btw, its agreat thing, n we can just wish that we have such facilities in our country too!
You finished Dinner at 9:30... Was on FB for some time let’s saying 25 min … so it would be around 9:55 PM... Was watching fireworks let’s say for 10 min. so time would be around 10:05 pm … when vampire Bat comes into picture you screamed for 10 min... So time would be around 10:15 pm... Then Manish was trying to drive him (Bat) away for almost 30 min... This leads time to 10:45 pm... Lately your neighbour came to your place and after discussion they called the fire service team... which probably took around 20 min... Hance time would be 11:05 PM … and last but not the least fire service team took 5 min to drive that Bat away... so time would be around 11:10 PM... At this time “11:10 PM” and “situation” how a person can think of taking picture of fire service team!!!!!!!
Your words make me smile; I guess u missed fireworks... .. After all u finally manage to get picture of fire service team... lolz z z z z z
